A Beacon of Excellence
Located within the boundary of the historic Foret de Marly, a short distance from Saint Germain en Laye to the west of Paris, Forest International School Paris (FISP) has been a beacon of excellence in project-based learning since 2003.
Following the English National Curriculum, delivered through the Pearson iPrimary programme, we seek to empower children aged 2 to 14 years old to learn through exploration, creativity and a direct interaction with nature.
For over twenty years, we have been a proud part of the Forest School movement, offering a wonderful education in the west of Paris.

Preparing for Real Life
We equip children with more than just academic skills. We foster the curiosity, compassion, and purpose they need to navigate an ever-changing world.
Learning by Inquiry
We believe leaders of tomorrow are those who ask the right questions. Our project-based approach connects learning to the real world, building critical thinkers and collaborators.
Values & Educational Philosophy
Child-Centered Education
We prioritize a "child-centred approach" to education and pursue educational excellence, recognising that each child is unique and learns best when they are happy.
Nature-Based Learning
All year round, we use the forest as an extension of the classroom where children learn through exploration and discovery.
Safe Learning Environment
We value every student as unique, ensuring learning occurs in a safe environment, without coercion, shame or humiliation.
Holistic Development
We follow the British National Curriculum delivered through Pearson international standards. French is taught as FLE for non-francophones and aligned with the French curriculum for native speakers — with daily French for all. In Early Years, we draw on Montessori principles for autonomy and the Reggio Emilia play-based approach.
Personalised Learning
With a maximum of 12 students per class across combined age groups and grades, every child receives individual attention. Mixed-age groupings foster peer learning and allow each child to progress at their own pace, with teachers adapting to their unique needs and strengths.
Intrinsic Motivation
By allowing children the freedom to explore their curiosities, we nurture a love of learning that is intrinsic and self-motivated.
Project-Based Approach
We guide students through a project-based approach that fosters critical thinking, collaboration, and helps them uncover their full potential.
